In this English learning lesson you can learn useful vocabulary such as “alwasy”, “usually”, “often”. Here you can find a range of short activities to use in your adult classroom with students at pre-intermediate level. All of our activities are designed around engaging themes engaging and relevant to adult learners of English. This online level test will give you an approximate indication of your English proficiency level. You can use the result to help you find content on our website that is appropriate for your English language ability.
About the online level test
- 25 multiple-choice questions
- 10–20 minutes
This test is designed to assess your understanding of English grammar, vocabulary and phrasing. Each question is in the format of multiple choice and you will have a choice of three possible answers.
You will be required to read each question carefully and select the answer that you think is correct. At the end of the test, you will be given an estimation of your current level of English proficiency.
Instructions
Test your English language skills by choosing the correct answer, then decide how sure you are that your answer is correct. Choose from the following: Certain, Fairly sure, Not sure.
It is very important to be honest about how sure you are. Your English proficiency level depends on the answers you give and how sure you are about those answers.
You will not be able to return to the previous question once you have submitted your answer and moved on, so make sure that you are completely satisfied with the answer you choose before you submit it.
Results
Your result will be one of three possible levels:
- beginner to pre-intermediate
- intermediate
- upper intermediate or above.
