- Add GPEDIT.msc adds the Group Policy Editor to Windows editions that normally don't have it including such as Starter Edition, Home, and Home Premium. Once installed, you should be able to run gpedit.msc. Click your Windows key + S and search will come up. Type in gpedit.msc. We were not able to test this on Windows 7 but.

- Download or create a gpeditenabler.bat file. Double click on setup.exe and follow the instructions to complete the installation. Right click on the bat file and choose Run as administrator. Wait for the commands to complete. Press any button to exit the command prompt window. Restart the computer and try to open the Group Policy Editor again.
